As part of the Global Hosting and Infrastructure Services team, you will lead the engineering support team to unify and automate IT operational tasks across a variety of platforms. These tasks include production system management, change management, incident response, and system maintenance. Utilizing infrastructure as code, and CI/CD tool sets, you will work to automate both the deployment and monitoring of large software systems to leverage a more scalable and sustainable strategy than manual intervention.

This role will require a broad range of technical skill sets that extend across both on premise and cloud environments

Here’s how:

  • Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
  • Monitor TAC IT infrastructure and Cloud Systems and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
  • Unify standard operational tasks through the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
  • Assists with the continual improvement of TAC technical strategy and enterprise digital transformation.
  • Acts as a technical team lead for cloud and infrastructure operations.
  • Performs system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Participates in resolution of highly complex incidents and problems.
  • Assist with skill development and training of less experienced team members.
  • Maintain Infrastructure as a Service cloud computing resources as well as on-premise hardware and software components.
  • Investigate and resolve problems during the IT life cycle ensuring fast and accurate solutions to meet user needs.
  • Provide support and serve as an escalation point for other teams to troubleshoot issues and complete tasks.
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions to all parts of the business to ensure that users are informed in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ensure systems are accurately and effectively documented.
  • Ensure all work is securely undertaken so that the company’s systems and data are not compromised.
  • Ensure all disaster recovery systems are working correctly and assist with backup maintenance and validation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations alongside the rest of the team.

    • Working knowledge of routing, switching, and firewalls - Desirable
    • Experience using Atlassian products, specifically Jira and Confluence. - Desirable
    • Experience administering enterprise-level storage - Desirable
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Extensive experience administering on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
    • Extensive experience performing discovery on, and documenting complex environments
    • Extensive experience acting as a technical team lead
    • Azure certifications - Desirable
    • Experience with troubleshooting business systems from on-premises networks, data centers, and between cloud providers.
    • Other IT, cloud, security, and similar certifications - Desirable

The US base salary range for this position is: $100k - $120k USD. With a 10% Performance bonus. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within that range, individual pay is determined by work location and a variety of factors, which may include but not limited, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
